A Sea Lion Walks Into a Restaurant...

UPDATE 2/10/16: Since being rescued on Thursday, "Marina" has gained weight and is receiving medications for an eye injury. The SeaWorld veterinarian team will continue to monitor until she can be returned to the ocean. Click here to learn more. 

On Thursday, SeaWorld San Diego’s rescue team was called to rescue a malnourished sea lion pup from a restaurant’s booth. The sea lion had apparently spent the night there in an effort to find food and seek shelter from the higher than normal tide.
