  • Marc Swanson, CEO of SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment

    Marc Swanson, Chief Executive Officer

    Marc Swanson is a nearly 20 year veteran of SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, where he serves as Chief Executive Officer, a role he also held from September 2019 to November 2019.  He has also served as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of the Company starting in August 2017.  Prior to that Mr. Swanson served as Chief Accounting Officer since 2012, as interim Chief Financial Officer from June 2015 until September 2015 and as interim Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer from August 1, 2017 until his permanent appointment later that same month.

    Previously, he was Vice President, Performance Management and Corporate Controller of SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment from 2011 to 2012, the Corporate Controller of Busch Entertainment Corporation from 2008 to 2011 and the Vice President of Finance of Sesame Place from 2004 to 2008. Mr. Swanson is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Orlando Science Center.

    Mr. Swanson holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Purdue University and a master’s degree in business administration from DePaul University, and is a CPA.

  • Elizabeth Gulacsy

    Elizabeth Castro Gulacsy, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer

    Elizabeth Castro Gulacsy has served as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer since May 2021. Prior to that she served as Interim Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer since April 2020 and from September 2019 to November 2019. She also served as Chief Accounting Officer of the Company from August 2017 to April 2021. Prior to that, Ms. Gulacsy served as Corporate Vice President, Financial Reporting from 2016 to 2017 and Director, Financial Reporting from 2013 to 2016. Prior to joining the Company, from 2011 to 2013, Ms. Gulacsy served as Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller for Cross Country Healthcare, Inc., from 2006 to 2011 she served as their Director of Corporate Accounting and from 2002 to 2006 as their Assistant Controller. From 1997-2002, Ms. Gulacsy was an auditor for Ernst & Young LLP where she most recently served as Audit Manager. Ms. Gulacsy is a member of the Audit Committee for IAAPA, the global association for the theme park industry. Ms. Gulacsy previously served as a board member and treasurer for the SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Conservation Fund from 2018 to 2020. Ms. Gulacsy holds a bachelor's degree and master's degree in accounting from the University of Florida and is a Certified Public Accountant.

  • Tony Taylor, Chief Legal Officer & General Counsel

    G. Anthony (Tony) Taylor has been the Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary since 2010 and has led the Governmental Affairs team since 2017. In addition, from 2013 until 2015, Mr. Taylor led the Company’s Corporate Affairs group, which included Industry & Governmental Affairs, Corporate Communications, Community Affairs and Corporate Social Responsibility. From 2012-2015 Mr. Taylor led the Company’s Governmental Affairs team, and from 2010-2016 Mr. Taylor led the Company’s Risk Management group.
    Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Taylor held the position of Associate General Counsel of Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc. from 2000 to 2010. Prior to that, Mr. Taylor was a Principal at Blumenfeld Kaplan in St. Louis from 1993 to 2000.

    He holds Bachelors’ degrees in political science and speech communication from the University of Missouri and a juris doctor degree from Washington University.

  • Dr. Christopher Dold

    Dr. Christopher Dold, Chief Zoological Officer

    Dr. Christopher (Chris) Dold has served as the Chief Zoological Officer of the Company since April 2016. In his role, Chris leads the Company’s team of zoological professionals and oversees all animal programs, rescue and rehabilitation, science, conservation and education. Prior to that, Dr. Dold served as Vice President, Veterinary Services from 2008 until April 2016 and Senior Veterinarian at SeaWorld Orlando from 2005 to 2008.

    Prior to joining the Company, Dr. Dold was a National Academies- National Research Council Postdoctoral Clinical Fellow with the US Navy Marine Mammal Program, and completed a University of California-Davis Internship in Marine Mammal Medicine and Pathology at The Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito, California.

    Dr. Dold is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, International Association for Aquatic Animal Medicine, European Association for Aquatic Mammals, and the American Association of Zoo Veterinarians. Dr. Dold received a Bachelor of Science degree in zoology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine.

  • Tom Iven, Chief Operating Officer

    Tom Iven has served as Chief Operating Officer since June 2021. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Iven served as Senior Vice President of Park Operations for Six Flags Entertainment Corp. He was responsible for the management of all of Six Flags' parks and properties. Mr. Iven began his career at Six Flags in 1976 as a seasonal employee and became a full-time employee in 1981. He held a number of management positions within several parks including Six Flags Magic Mountain and Six Flags Over Texas before being named General Manager of Six Flags St. Louis in 1998. In 2001, Mr. Iven was promoted to Executive Vice President, Western Region, comprised of 17 parks, a post he held until 2006 when he was named Senior Vice President. From 2010 until 2014, Mr. Iven was the Senior Vice President, Park Operations and was responsible for the management of Six Flags' parks in the Western region as well as the oversight of engineering, maintenance and operating efficiency programs for all Six Flags parks. Mr. Iven holds a B.S. degree from Missouri State University.

  • Sharon (Sherri) Nadeau, Chief Human Resources Officer

    Sharon (Sherri) Nadeau was appointed Chief Human Resources Officer of the company in July 2019. Prior to that, Ms. Nadeau was a Senior Advisor for Cerberus Capital Management, L.P and Cerberus Operations and Advisory Company since 2016.

    In this role, she served as Chief Human Resources Officer, FirstKey Homes and Chief Human Resources Officer, YP (“Yellow Pages”), each of which were Cerberus Portfolio Companies. She has also served as Senior Vice President HR North America & Europe, Middle East and Africa at First Advantage Corporation from 2014 - 2016 and Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer at Connexity, Inc. / Shopzilla from 2012 - 2014.

    Ms. Nadeau also served in a variety of senior human resources and organizational development roles for companies including Sony Pictures Entertainment and Universal Studios / Universal Studios Japan. Ms. Nadeau is a graduate of Liberty University (BS, Accounting) and the University of Virginia (MS, Tax).

  • Christopher Yarris, Chief Accounting Officer

    Christopher Yarris has served as Chief Accounting Officer of the Company since April 2021. Prior to joining the Company, he served as Vice President and Corporate Controller of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. from 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, Mr. Yarris served as Chief Financial Officer, North America of Keter Group from 2017 to 2019 and from 2011 to 2017, he served as Vice President and Corporate Controller of Newell Brands Appliance and Cookware Division. Prior to that time, Mr. Yarris served as a Director of Transaction Services and held various other roles of increasing responsibility at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP during his tenure from 1993 to 2011. Mr. Yarris holds a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from John Carroll University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
