Matt Rearden currently holds the position of Sr. Business Development Officer for SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment in Orlando, FL. His primary responsibilities include developing new business and strategic partnerships, capitalizing on international and domestic development, and merger and acquisition opportunities. In addition, he will continue to lead strategic planning initiatives for the Company.
Mr. Rearden began his career at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment in 2010 as a member of the in-house legal team. He then served as Corporate Vice President of Business Affairs and was responsible for delivering on corporate objectives, managing the operations of the corporate headquarters and leading a variety of special projects, as well as serving as a key advisor to the President and CEO.
Before joining SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, Mr. Rearden was a member of the in-house legal team with International Speedway Corporation and NASCAR in Daytona Beach, FL. While at ISC, he focused on marketing and sponsorship contracts, corporate transactions, facility operations and development. Prior to law school, Mr. Rearden was a claims adjustor with State Farm Insurance Companies.
He earned his undergraduate degree in Finance from Oral Roberts University in 1997 and has served on the Board of Trustees since 2013. Mr. Rearden earned a J.D. from Florida State University (2001) and is a former member of the FSU College of Law Alumni Board.
